   The Boot Wings and Doors.

Starting on The Boot and Wings

The Boot has to be fitted before you can line up the rear wings.
I started work on the boot lid.

Next I made up a plate to hold the spare wheel. Then added the the boot hinge and seal, plus the locking handle and mechanism. It was at this point, that I found I had purchased the wrong mechanism, a slam type instead of a turn type.

The front nearside wing was fitted. I had to complete one side of the car then move the car across to finish the other side.

The rear wing was set up.

My attention was now directed to the doors.

These take ages to line up. I used washers as spacers in the door hinges, as a temporary measure.

Anti Burst Locks were fitted using the template from the manual.

The door seal was in place and used as a guide for the door shut lines.

One of the doors was way out and JBA replaced it.

The door handles were Jaguar handles that JBA use now.

The door catch on the side of the CBU was a bit wide and I could not get it to fit, without cutting part of the glassfibre.

Strength Brackets are fitted inside of each door supplied as standard by JBA.

Then the Windscreen Frame and Side screens.

This photo shows all the  parts of the windscreen frame except the Stainless steel surround.

This is the offside inner windscreen side frame.

The side screen frame was fitted along with the windscreen frame, in order to get the slope of the windscreen correct.

The height of the side screen frame is set from the windscreen frame.

A view from the front.

A view from the front nearside showing the wings doors and windscreen frame in place.
